The progress of medicine and the requirements for the preparation of innovative therapies: the antelope and the snail
The progress of modern medicine has inevitably revolutionized the clinical approach for the treatment of various pathologies which currently involves the use of combined therapies including synthetic drugs, biologics and in some cases advanced therapy drugs (ATMP).
The potential of this new approach emerges as a new surprise opportunity for the treatment of various diseases but, at the same time, requires enormous effort by operators in the sector in the harmonization of protocols for setting up therapies of a different nature (synthesis, biological, ATMPs), in accordance with the regulatory context and in terms of suitable environments and product/operator safety.
